About

Stephen W. Morris is a freelance photographer currently living with his wife and three children in South Florida. He loves spending time with his family and shooting life as he sees it (through a lens).

With a focus on creative lifestyle and conceptual stock photography, Stephen has successfully sold his work for many years through iStockphoto and Getty Images. In addition to commercial for-hire work, he has also carried out numerous personal projects, collaborations for non-profit causes, and workshops.

In January of 2013, Stephen was invited to join an exciting new stock photography agency called Stocksy, co-founded by Bruce Livingston, the original creator of microstock and founder of iStockphoto. Stocksy is an artist owned cooperative that is founded upon the principles of equality, respect and the fair distribution of profits. It has set intentionally high quality and curatorial standards to ensure that the images are authentic, intelligent, beautiful, realistic and inherently useful.

Stephen’s early professional formation focused on theology,  languages and intercultural studies, which took him to many interesting places around the world. From an early age, he remembers being drawn to and experimenting in the visual arts. With a natural eye for color and composition combined with a keen interest in visual storytelling, Stephen’s pursuits led him into graphic design and communications before arriving at photography. With his past experiences as a foundation, photography came as a natural progression allowing Stephen to visually reflect the stories around him and create new stories from the seemingly random ideas that pop into his head at the oddest hours.

Stephen is available for assignments and for-hire custom shoots depending on the nature and location of the project.  For information on pricing and availability please contact him.
